This Is Not A Toy! is the designer's graduation project from the Icelandic University of the Arts in product design.
Toys have a very traditional role, whether ideologically, historically or for economic productivity.
Play on the other hand, is unpredictable, open and untamed.
In this project, established toys are deconstructed in order to be recreated. The designer hopes to find new meaning in the toys. The toys have a blurry purpose now that their original function has been distorted. This is a certain contradiction to the restrictive roles that can be seen in the world of toys. .
